Is there a way you could post an entire piece of code generated from Core Animator that samples all sorts of animation (rotation, movement, scale, etc)? I want to be able to see how difficult it would be to integrate that code and/or modify it in Xcode or with a script. Or I could export two separate pieces of code using that technique you just told me about. The big export button which would rely solely on those specific bitmaps and would be included in Xcode. I could then paste that generated code into a NsObject subclass that just holds all of the animations I want to be able to perform at run time.īut if my Core Animator file had two moving bitmaps, there would be two ways to export. So let me clarify: you can export the animations for one UIView (bitmap animation in Core Animator). can I write a script to modify the code generated to do exactly what I am talking about. Thanks again for the reply! You've been very helpful. Idk, not a big deal, as I can work with UIKit in the future as opposed to SpriteKit. Or ma ybe there was a different way I can't think of. On a second note, simply because the current app I am working on uses SpriteKit, did you guys ever get around to getting CoreAnimator to work with SKNodes as opposed to UIViews only? I noticed I can't access any CALayers from SKNodes. Would be cool to be able to create the animations for stuff that hasn't been drawn yet using CoreAnimator. Then maybe animating them using SKActions, or caching them for later use. I've either been drawing graphics, or creating UIImages and turning them to SKTextures. Oh, and typically I have been not subclassing UIViews as PaintCode shows. This keeps the asset size tiny and I can easily scale my images, along with doing standard, and in the future.Īnyone with experience know how to combine both technologies? IE PaintCode and CoreAnimator? Would love to be able to animate as easily, and have as sweet of graphics. The problem is that for the most part, I create all of my assets using PaintCode. I'm thinking about buying Core Animator because I love how well the animations look.
